My Approach

As a Psychologist, I acquired skills necessary to conduct therapy, consultation, assessment, and educational programs. However, helping people is more than an accumulation of skills. Treatment and successful interventions rest on a collaborative relationship between the provider and the client. I believe psychotherapy is a shared process of emotional healing and skill development. Throughout this partnership I strive to make myself obsolete as soon as possible by empowering those I work with to learn effective ways to lead a meaningful and fulfilled life.

I also offer formal Psychological Assessment, Consultation, and Educational Programming.

Modes of psychotherapy include individual and couple’s counseling as well as group therapy. At times I work with a co-therapist to better facilitate treatment and support.

I work with individuals having a variety of concerns including:

  • Mood difficulties such asdepression and anxiety

  • Problems with relationships

  • Adjustment to life challenges including medical problems, career uncertainty, and other life changes

  • Grief and loss

  • Identity development

  • LGBTQ issues

  • Emotional regulation

  • Abuse, trauma and stress
